Language policy in National Education System

Language helps us to communicate and negotiate with others. It is the most crucial thing for living. Those who are not blessed with the power of speech use sign language for proper communication. India has a variety of languages as it is highly distinguised society which includes so many different types of people and cultures. It is obviously difficult to navigate through issues and daily life is there is no official language. Hence our National Education Policy comes into play.

Our National Education Policy encapsulates that three languages should be there in the course curriculum spreaded over different grades out of which two should be native and one official language. English and Hindi are the most widely spoken language used in India. In official spaces English is the most widely spoken and used. Hence, emphasis is always given on English. Higher education and those who pursue foreign degree learn English and they have to be highly proficient in this.

With the help of National Education Policy, students are guided and nurtured of the basics of communication language from a tender age which will give them the ability and talent to pursue education anywhere in the whole world and even get settled outside India. Having said that it is thus very crucial for the government to strengthen literacy in all parts of the country, specially in the rural region. If proper steps are taken, India will soon become a leading expert in almost every sectors ranging from medical, defense and research & development.

Importance of foreign policy for growth in all sectors

Foreign policy is extremely important for the whole world to grow together. The developed nation should set examples to the developing nations. They should also provide helping hand and economic supports so that the whole world becomes developed.

The current scenario of the world consists of global inequalities with difference in category of people. Some are very well to do while others are still fighting for basic amenities. Foreign policies & global authorities such as United Nations, WHO, IMF ensures that these inequalities are taken care of. Those who are in urgent need of support are provided a helping hand.

The other side of the importance of foreign policy for growth takes care of sustainable growth. It also encapsulates the environmental protection. This means that growth should occur but also ensure that our nature is not damaged. It is also referred to as 'Green Growth'. Paris Agreement and several summits such as G7, G20, COPA ensures that these nations also make growth plans by keeping environment in mind. Reducing carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gases are also taken care off. Foreign policies are also pushing the countries to switch to EVs and battery technology which would reduce emission. Switching to renewable energy will also reduce the use of natural gases and fossil fuels.

All these global changes do not occur automatically. But with foreign policies pushing all the nations to join hand and work towards a common goal ensures sustainable growth which will be extremely beneficial for the whole world.

How to overcome food insecurity in the country?

India has stands third in terms of highest population from all over the world. And it has also a very high number of people who have no shelter, jobs and no food to eat. This is a major problem of our poverty ridden country. The poor people, beggars and street dwellers at times do not even get to eat. This is indeed a very sad plight for our country.

There are certain NGOs which take care of these people by serving food on a regular basis. But this is not going to be enough for the whole country. Our government has also taken initiatives and certain schemes to improve the situation. Providing food is one challenge, but the sustainable solution lies in the fact that these people develop skills and earn through their own. Certain schemes like the MNREGA helps them to have 100days of employment. There are also initiatives which are launched by the Skill Development Ministry to help these people find their suitable skills so that they can improve their lives. Schemes like the PM Jan Dhan Yojna which ensures to have a zero balance bank account so that these people also get an opportunity to grow financial literacy. There are also people who do not have proper ID's. These people also needs guidance so that they can be properly identified and given a solution to live their life with dignity. These will indeed help those people who are still wondering whether they will be able to eat tomorrow or will have to stay hungry for another day.

With proper support from the government things have improved a lot from earlier. And it is certain that it will also improve with continuous efforts. If voluntary help is combined with government support, this process can be speeded up which will help reduce the sufferring of these people who are still in a lot of pain for dearth of the most basic item needed for survival, 'Food'.

"Self-Reliant India"

India is a developing nation and so far it had been dependent on other countries for a lot of things, starting from food, clothing, vehicles, technologies, and also defence equipment. Whenever India faces demand in any of the above criteria it has two options. Either to develop it indigenously or to import it from foreign countries at a certain price. This scenario has two outcomes. The primary being a solution for a sustainable and long term growth where India is self-reliant on itself. And the second is obviously the easy way out of dealing with the problem now while ignoring long term growth.

During the past few years, India has taken this approach of self-reliance. The most appropiate being the "Make in India" initiative, where the focus is on the production being done in India. Here, foreign companies who are willing to enter Indian market are asked to manufacture in India and then sell their products. This is helping India in so many ways. The first being creating job opportunities. Secondly, it is helping Indians to get accustomed with foreign state of the art technologies. Big tech giants such as Iphone, Redmi, Samsung, Google have set up their offices and manufacturing hubs in India. Not only tech giants but also defense equipment are also built by purchasing the technology from foreign and focusing on the built in India. This marks the milestone for a sustainable growth for India. ISRO's commercial unit New India Space Limited has also made several tie-ups with foreign countries such as Singapore and Indonesia to lauch their satellites. Similar in fields of medicine where India is heading towards the title of 'medicine supplier of the world' specially after manufacturing billions of COVID-19 vaccines and then exporting them all around the world.

All these events point towards the fact that India is on it's path towards growth, and it will soon become a globally recognised manufacturing hub for the world exporting items and catering to need of others which will help to build a stronger and better India for our next generations.

Why Indian students prefer to pursue higher education in abroad especially in medical?

India stands second most populous country in the whole world. And this brings about a lot of challenges. Along with this, there are several amenities and facilities that also come with certain challenges. This is also the same for education. India is filled with colleges and universities but despite gathering a bachelor's degree one is not guaranteed to get a good opportunity. Hence it is commonly seen among students that they prefer higher education abroad.

Advanced Technology & Facilities- India falls under the category of developing nation. And despite several advancements it is still lacks in certain top notch facilities and technological advancements which will give the Indian students a lead in terms of competetion. And thus, several students apply for foreign colleges which suits their thirst for learning.

Fewer Opportunities- India is filled with graduate students who are looking for a job and thus there is a demand in the jobs but crisis in opportunities. This is also a reason why students prefer to get a degree abroad so that they can get ahead of the long waiting list in terms of employment. Medical students are highly challenged to get into medical college due to very fewer seats. Also they are not recognised properly and rarely get good opportunities, which is why they prefer to earn their doctoral degree from abroad.

Chance to settle abroad- The world is a big place if one has a proper knowledge from a good institute which is updated in terms of technology. They will also get paid in foreign currency which will also help them pay off their education loan. Since Indian currency is at an all time low.

Hence it can be summarised that these are the reasons which is why Indian students are prefering to pursue higher education in abroad specially in medical. It will take efforts from the government to bump up amenities and opportunities so that Indian students remain in India and contribute to the Indian economy, growth & well-being.

Causes and Impacts of Unemployment

The problem of unemployment is the most serious problem facing our country. A large number of educated and uneducated people are looking for some jobs. They are willing to work but they cannot get it. There is unemployment in cities, towns and even in villages.

Overpopulation is one of the major causes of unemployment. Ineffective education system which fails in the proper development of a student as a professional employee with complete knowledge. Underdeveloped rural areas from where people are moving towards the developed urban areas for finding a job or other professional career.

There should be a check on the rapid growth of population. The system of education should be changed. Importance should be given to technology related skills. Government should create more jobs for tge educated unemployed. Banks should advance loans to youths to set up small industries.

The national crisis of unemployment affects a huge population of India especially a youth generation who are the future of our country.
