India has stands third in terms of highest population from all over the world. And it has also a very high number of people who have no shelter, jobs and no food to eat. This is a major problem of our poverty ridden country. The poor people, beggars and street dwellers at times do not even get to eat. This is indeed a very sad plight for our country.
There are certain NGOs which take care of these people by serving food on a regular basis. But this is not going to be enough for the whole country. Our government has also taken initiatives and certain schemes to improve the situation. Providing food is one challenge, but the sustainable solution lies in the fact that these people develop skills and earn through their own. Certain schemes like the MNREGA helps them to have 100days of employment. There are also initiatives which are launched by the Skill Development Ministry to help these people find their suitable skills so that they can improve their lives. Schemes like the PM Jan Dhan Yojna which ensures to have a zero balance bank account so that these people also get an opportunity to grow financial literacy. There are also people who do not have proper ID's. These people also needs guidance so that they can be properly identified and given a solution to live their life with dignity. These will indeed help those people who are still wondering whether they will be able to eat tomorrow or will have to stay hungry for another day.
With proper support from the government things have improved a lot from earlier. And it is certain that it will also improve with continuous efforts. If voluntary help is combined with government support, this process can be speeded up which will help reduce the sufferring of these people who are still in a lot of pain for dearth of the most basic item needed for survival, 'Food'.
